Best Presentation Award for Vincenzo

Congratulations to our PhD Student Mr Vincenzo Bassi Zillmann who received the Best Oral Presentation Award - Energy Systems in the 2021 Melbourne Energy Institute Symposium!

Vincenzo’s presentation is entitled “Extracting the Physics of Electrical Networks Using Smart Meter Data: Towards Model-Free Voltage Calculations” and is part of his PhD project on “Data-Driven Operation and Planning of DER-Rich Distribution Networks” supervised by Prof Nando Ochoa and Prof Tansu Alpcan.

Vincenzo's work is also part of the innovative project "Model-Free Operating Envelopes at NMI Level" funded by the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET).

PresoThe 2021 MEI Symposium run on 3rd December and showcased the multi-disciplinary energy research taking place throughout the University of Melbourne. Importantly, the event provides a space for collaboration between the sector and the University, as well as an opportunity to celebrate the past year's accomplishments.
