Research overview
I am a highly motivated and academically accomplished individual with a passion for Machine Learning and Optimisation. I am passionate about applied research in computer science, and I am skilled at developing creative solutions for engineering projects. I have demonstrated this passion and skill through my involvement in a variety of research projects, both in my academic career and in my industry work experience.
My notable research experiences include the following:
- My research in the basics of machine learning has focused on the mathematical foundations of optimization methods for improving model selection and finding the best set of hyperparameters more efficiently. In particular, I have studied Newton's method, gradient descent, stochastic gradient descent, and batch gradient descent in a more rigorous and systematic way.
- Research in Computer Science during the instructing of Discrete and Concrete Math, Data Structures, Design of Algorithms and Automata Theory topics to highly talented students. In addition, I have been involved in software development, with a focus on Python, C, and C++20. I have developed a chat messaging system similar to WhatsApp in Python, a web crawler in C. I am proficient in the best programming practices, and I emphasize code maintainability and resource efficiency.
