Thesis title
Analysis and design of networked k-contractive systems
Research overview
This project focuses on nonlinear multi-agent systems, i.e., systems where single agents are described by nonlinear dynamical equations, and that interact with each other through a communication protocol. We aim to investigate how the notion of contraction theory and its extensions support the analysis and design of such systems, aiming to provide constructive formal tools. Our goals include using contraction-based methods to design coupling controllers that ensure collaborative behaviors such as synchronization, as well as studying the asymptotic behavior of systems whose agents are not necessarily required to stabilize or cooperate.
