Thesis title

Analysis and Design of Grid-Inverter Interactions

Research overview

Yi AN’s research focuses on developing mathematical tools to analyse and design grid-inverter interactions, particularly in weak grid conditions. As renewable energy integration grows, ensuring the stability and performance of hybrid power plants—comprising grid-forming and grid-following inverters—is crucial. Yi's work leverages robust control techniques to enhance voltage and frequency stability, addressing challenges posed by low-inertia power systems. The research aims to provide novel insights and practical solutions for improving the resilience of renewable energy networks.
