The gigabit wireless (Gi-Fi) laboratory is focused on the development and testing of single-chip transceivers for short range wireless technologies, capable of multi-gigabit per second data transfer.
This includes:
- Millimeter Wave-wave testing facilities including a vector network analyser
- Dedicated probe stations
- Signal generators and scopes
This adjoins the nano-photonic sensors laboratory which provides advanced instrumentation and characterisation capabilities for high precision sensors developed using advanced nano-photonic approaches. It offers capabilities to prototype sensor systems for real world applications such as drone-based hyper-spectral imaging and biomedical applications.
