EV Integration

This multi-disciplinary project will explore, with a range of both network-related and consumer-related research methodologies and tools, customer acceptance and expectations around electric vehicles (EVs), distribution network impacts from unmanaged EVs, distribution network integration of EVs using active management strategies, and techno-economic network and system integration of EVs.

This 2-year project (September 2020 to September 2022) is funded by Energy Networks Australia (ENA) and the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET). It also involves the Australian Power Institute (API) and multiple Australian Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs). From the University, the project involves Prof Mancarella, Prof Ochoa and colleagues from the Department of Infrastructure Engineering, Dr Lavieri and Prof Sarvi.
